I have to disagree, I think Al is a monster player. Scott as well
You should be careful on how critical you are on other peoples playing, unless you can post clips that smoke them.
Looks like Greg Howe will be playing an OD100 in a few minutes as well, a Stock lead channel , SH Clean with the G12H Anniversary speaks

Well maybe I'm being a bit hard but I think Al is very talented. By posting clips you might show me what you dont think is cheesy and give me different ideas for clips in the future. Maybe I got defensive since Al did me a favor for nothing, I think he is good but then again I grew up in the 80's, I dont hear that many players with Al's skills playing today on record and I hear many other amp sound clips where you dont really hear the amp at all. It is hard finding guys who play at all sometimes so hearing Al is refreshing regardless on whether it has been done before or not. The thing I like about Al is he knows what he is doing and says it with comittment. He executes all the things he is trying for, has good vibratto and technique, Now if Jazz is your thing I really like Bill Connors new Album
Great singing tone. Huge distortion without getting messy. Was that the OD channel in boost? Any SH or SE mods?Originally posted by Jaybird
Here's a short one I did when I had the OD-100.
Yes, the boost was engaged for that clip. It was the standard OD-100, not the SE. It had the SH mod too on the clean channel.Originally posted by MightyGuru

Hey John, this is the same guy(same screenname) that started the thread(about Suhr and Tyler) that ended up going haywire with things about your wife and such over on Hugeracks. It was the same scinario, he was being way overly critical and insulting and ended up having guys challenging him to post clips. Some were calling to shun him. When he did they were at the wrong sample rate and were hystarical. After he got the thing fixed it was basically somewhat sloppy attempts at Ed D. stuff. Now mind you, he is only 16 or 17 yrs. old, so that is pretty good for that age, but his over opinionated and insulting stabs are pretty jive.
I am dissapointed in Ed D. if he was publicly slagging Scott. I have known Scott since the Ft. Lauderdale days and we hang when he is in Det. He plays for the sake of playing and being creative. He has honned the trem bar thing into his own sound. He makes crap money and humps his own gear so he can do what he wants in his music. If someone can't find "any" value in Scott's live CD there is something wrong(and it's not with Scott). diminishedlogic needs to get over himself, "he ain't all that".
