Congrats on the Super, I have the same year! The MJM Blues Devil is a great match for the Super. It is the best 808 type pedal I've heard with a BF amp. Not exactly like the cranked Super, but great overdrive nonetheless. As much SRV tone in a box you can get without taking the fingers into account.

If you are just looking for the sound of the amp when the power tubes start to break up, the Lovepedal LO works well with my Super Reverb. Sounds very natural and doesn't change the eq much. Very touch sensitive like the amp would be.

I just got a BJF LGW and really like it. I prefer it over a Digitech Bad Monkey so much that it's not even funny. And I still think the BM is a decent tube screamer.

for '' more of the Super '' a Klon Centaur or Burriss Boostier.

my favorite OD for my Super was a TS-808 reissue.

I love the Timmy with the SR. And for "Cranked SR" tones the Dirty Blonde is awesome. Utterly convincing.

The Klon sounds awesome with a Super. I'd also consider a Fulldrive II, doesn't matter which version, it's got a nice throaty growl when the boost is turned up.

I have a '66 as well, and have to say for that sound I'd have to agree the Klon is a nice match. Wish I kept the Klon...:jo .

I use a MJM Blues Devil and the G2D Custom through my '67 Super and they both sound very amplike. The BD does have the slight mid boost going on but sounds ideal with my setup. Congrats on the Super!
