I know that many pedals work "better" with certain amps and guitars, but there are some OD pedals that seems to work great irrespective of what you play it through and with.

Which one(s) has done it for you?

    My case:

    Timmy

I would vote for the Timmy too, good choice. But to mix things up a bit, my 90's blue Fulldrive 2 sounds great with any amp I use. The comp cut and boost really make a versatile OD, IMO. Mine is also an early prototype, one of the first with the vintage/flat mids switch. Lots of tone shaping possibilities.

Barber Direct Drive LG, Skreddy Screw Driver. I agree on the Timmy as well.

The one that has sounded the best with the widest range has to be either the Diamond Jdrive TR or the DBA Interstellar Overdriver.

My fulldrive 2 has sounded great in front of anything I have played through.

My Lovepedal FAB 50 (predecessor to the COT 50) kills with my Strat, my P-90 LP, or my HB equipped guitars, into both my BF Fender and '81 Marshall. Using it to goose other OD's always results in a better tone - truly an amazing pedal. When I go to blues jams I take it along and about half the time the owner of whatever amp is on stage will come up to me and ask me "How in the hell did you get that tone out of my amp!". and not it a bad way. I have probably used this pedal with 3 or 4 guitar/amp combinations and it always makes things sound better.
