So I finally dragged myself into Boutique tone today to slam onto a couple of OD's and finally make up my mind, surprise surprise, I've stomped on over 20 boxes numbered underneath

I consider these to be the most mainstream one's out there and by all means these aren't standings .

    1 - Colorsound Overdriver
    2 - OCD
    3 - Timmy
    4 - Standard TS-9 & Keeley Modded TS-9
    5 - Klon
    6 - Barber Direct Drive
    7 - AC Booster/OD
    8 - Keeley BD-2
    9 - Analogman BD-2
    10 - Vintage Ts-808
    11 - Landgraff Dynamic OD
    12 - BJFE Emerald Green
    13 - Lovepedal Cot 50
    14 - Pro-Analog Dual-Drive
    15 - Menatone Blue Collar
    16 - Zendrive
    17 - MI-Audio Crunch
    18 - Lovepedal Eternity
    19 - Little Green Wonder
    20 - Radial Tonebone.

Impressed me the most ? definitly the Keeley BD-2 & Colorsound and Vintage Ts-808, left me a bit dissapointed ...

well ... none really ! I settled on the Keeley and Colorsound though

Let me know your experience with any of these and vote for the ultimate OD !

i've had experience with most of the ODs on your list, but it would be difficult for me to choose the ultimate OD just because most of these were made to be good at different things. For example, the Klon and LDO are both great ODs, but great for different reasons. If I had to choose 3 ODs from your list to cover all my drive needs, it would probably be the OCD (great amp-like OD that can get me from slight breakup into high gain territory), LDO (that and the Abunai 2 are my favorite TS-type pedals), and the Klon (use it mainly as a clean boost with just a touch of gain)

Yup, they are all so different and some suite some applications better than others.

If you said the most versatile OD, then that would be something we could really talk about. I would have to go with the HBE Power Screamer. Low to high gain, touch sensitive, classic TS sound with a modern twist. Much prefer it over even a Landgraff LDO, although the LDO is a good sounding pedal.

..... not to mention how rig dependant pedals are! The guitar, pickups, amp, etc... make a huge difference. I've had some pedals that sounded fantastic with one amp, but poor with a different amp.

I ablsolutely LOVE what the Gaspedal Carb does to a rig that is already cookin'. Hard to pick a favorite, but for a live volume situation the Carb is pretty hard to beat for me these days.

so many great OD's out there. Klon is tops for me for what I play, but when I need high gain, I definitely would vote differently.

Top 5 OD's for me would be:

    Klon
    Tim
    eternity (Kanji)
sunface (I use if more as an OD than fuzz lately)
    TS9

I have an OCD and a modded TS9. I could do almost every type of gig I play with those two pedals.

Put my vote in for the OCD. For the quality, tone and price it is just hard to beat!

I like the Brent Mason pedal from Wampler. That and a TS9.
