    Hi,

I was exploring the NI Absynth and it's rhythmic sounds as well as a few of its cool and dirty sounds and came up with a backing that I thought would be cool to play some whirly guitar over.

So I got my Suhr Classic and had a lot of fun with it. The guitar was recorded direct using a modded Marshall model from my Boss GS-10 (yes you can actually mod some of the digital models in the GS-10). To get the whirly wobble I used my old original TC chorus pedal between the guitar and the GS-10.

The tune "Test Tube Accident" is here:

In case you want to have a go at some dirt you can the backing track here:

    Please post takes and comments!

    Cheers,

Nice one Matt. I found this quite tricky to play something tasty over, so it raised my appreciation even more of what you did on it.

    Gentlemen!

Thank you very much for taking your time to listen and to comment.

Woody - I find it very hard to believe that you have a problem with any track.

Gsozz - I don't remember exactly what sounds I used and I'm away from my music PC at the time of writing.
I do remember that I used at least 5 instances of Absynth 3. 1 for the bass and three for the backgound groove to complement my drums and another for some other fizzly stuff. That patches was from the library sold by Camel Audio.

    Cheers,

    Hi Robert,

    You're welcome!
Will there be a possibility for the rest of us to hear some of that fun in a posted format?

Totally OT: I see you live in Toronto. In 1976/77 I was an exchange student in upstate New York and we went to Toronto on our senior trip. I remember the trip being interesting (we went to a science museum and a musical) but the major upside was that during the trip I got together with a lovley girl from my school that I later had a relationship with. :D
Haven't been back but would love to go.

    Cheers,

    Mats N

    Hi Tag,

    THANK you!
I really do wish you would have time to do a take on a few of my backings as I really enjoy what you do. Considering that I enjoy your compliment even more!

    Cheers,

I tried earlier and just couldnt get the groove. Picked up my guitar several hours later and this came to me. I always seem to find something to play on your BTs...they are my favorites and this is another great one though it was quite out of my style so im not sure how it will sound. Unfortunately this came to me after being up for close to 20 hours so the playing is not the best.

    Hi Dave,

    Great take in may ways!
Not the least the intro/main riff that gave the track a lot of extra energy.
I can see parts of your take as an action movie sound track.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Cheers,

    Hi Marin,

    Glad you enjoyed it.
Seems like you kept on heaping up a lot of odd sounds. :D
Definitely added to the spirit of the track.

    Cheers,
