Much more fitting.
Niiiice, that looks much better with the cream plastics. I was going to do the opposite to this custom Agile AL3200 I recently got...replacing the cream plastics with black. But then I changed the pickups and now I kind of like the cream again...
If you don't tend to hit the top with your pick don't add the ugly plastic pickguard. The cream plastics are great, because they match the binding while going well with that nice red. That's a good look.
I'm going to hold off on the pickguard for now and looking forward to gigging this beauty.
Thanks man, nice photoshop job...this is the best way to see what the guard will look like before making hole in the body.
Still not 100% sure I like the guard one..one issue fir me is since the guitar is sill very new the binding is still very white whereas the plastics are creamy looking.
It looks great with the cream plastics. Forgot to ask what is this finish called? Where did you source your P90 covers?
I really like the black guard on this. Matches so nicely with the finish.
The 2018 P90 Classic Players are great guitars. Love my Orange Sunrise...
Thank you, sir.
The finish is wine red, however, the top coat is satin.
Here's a link to the covers (note: these appear to be lighter in color than the vintage-colored but let your eyes be the judge):
Stew Mac also sells a similar cover.
We should start an "Official 2018 Classic Player" thread..so much useful information...
Have you considered buffing the top coat on your Classic?
The first cream covers I bought did not fit properly, they were Chinese knock offs, holes did not line up. I ended up getting mine from StewMac. Thanks for the link..
You are most welcome.
The black finish on mine is already glossy so no need. I believe the goldtops were the same.
VBF, where did you score that beauty? What model is it?
Thank you. It was a Craigslist find and I had therefore not seen one like it. It's a Classic model and will reply back with the year when I get home later today.
P90 Les Pauls are so sweet!
Cream P90s + Pickguard + Poker Chip = classic.
I've been on the fence about these red and blue `18 Pluses, but I think the cream plastics make them work.
Personally like it without fwiw
Great call! The cream plastics took the look up a few notches, IMO.
A cream pickguard looks good with cream pickup rings.
Not so much with cream pickup covers.
Too much cream.
Here's some general info on this model:

Oh, hell no!
