I put humbucker to my 59 relic strat, sounds awesome !!

Now it has Lollar Special S neck pu, Lollar Blackface middle pu w/o tone, Lollar Imperial Low Wind humbucker w/ 250k vol pot / 500k tone pot, 3 way switch..

I've considered doing the same to my '56 Relic many times. I'd take the next step and put in a mini-toggle or a Fender S-1 switch to split the humbucker.

Another possibility (and one I just went with on my Suhr build) is to put the push/pull on the bottom knob for series/parallel on the humbucker. I don't care for the sound of a split 'bucker, but the parallel option is another cool tone with less output than the full 'bucker. Might match with your singles a bit better.

When do we get to hear it? You may have given me a push to do it to mine. Any pics of the work?

    What a beaut!

Love HSS' to death. So much, I have been playing them for the last 30 years. Nothing sexier than a beat up sunburst for me. Whenever I see one, I need to touch.

I have a par/sin/series on my bridge pup. Neck pup is balanced to parallel; series is just, more. This way even the single is balanced to all. Mini switch next to bridge tone is so much easier than push pull knobs for me.

You can claim that you put a humbucker in a strat in 1959 ... way before Eddie.
