ohm converter box

Does anyone make a box that you can plug in 2 separate 8ohm speakers (with 1/4" plugs) and convert them to 1 - 16ohm?

If you're handy with a soldering iron it would only cost about $10 to build.

rather than a plastic box, you could use metal pedal enclosure with Neutrik plastic jacks.
I use the Neutrik plastic ones on pedal builds all the time and they are nice.

or you could just make a Y cable. same diagram, but without the box.

btw - you're not really 'converting' any ohms, just wiring the speakers in series which double the overall ohm reading.

Right, so the 2-8ohm will series up to 16ohms
