Can I run my '74 Marshall and '67 Park, 50 watt heads, set for 8 ohms into
    a Marshall 4x12 16 0hm cab?
    Same question,
run a 50 watt head set for 4 ohms into a 2x12, 8 ohm cab?
    Any problems?

I would like to run the amp head set at 8 ohm into a 16 ohm cab.
Or, run the amp set at 4 ohm into an 8 ohm cab.
    Is that a problem?
I don't want to re-wire the cab to match.
I think I read Germino amps, Classic 45's, amps set for 8 ohm into a 16 ohm cab, trying to get the amp to break-up sooner. Does that make sense?

Sorry, I misread your post, I thought you were trying to run a 4 ohm head into a 16 ohm cab and wanted to know if it was safe. The simple solution then was to rewire the cab to four ohms. Ignore my earlier post.

But I think you are heading the wrong direction trying to get the amp to breakup sooner by using a mismatched load. Just my opinion, but on those vintage amps I would match the load, and if I wanted to get an earlier breakup I'd look elsewhere for that.
