Well we had two great HEATLEY threads that was a historic killer and a custom LP thread that were lost to the "Great crash of 2006." I've been meaning to give Scott a call and finally spec one out.. but been busy and other studio demands have diverted my piggy bank a bit.

While I'm saving again, and preparing to call him, Fuel my GAS! :RoCkIn

Here are the pics of my two Heatley's. They are both outstanding guitars.

There is a good chance that the Tradition will be in the emporium soon. I started to place it ther last night, but stopped. However, my wife an I are expecting child # 2 anyday and so there is a need for cash in the house, plus my time will be somewhat limited. I want someone who will play the hell out of it to have it - it deserves it.

More pics of the standard can be seen here:

Okay, I just put my check in the mail to Scott for MY Heatley! :) With a 9 month wait it's like I just had the greatest sex in my whole life and now I get to wait for 9 months for the "baby" to arrive. :D

What a great thread! I love seeing all these Heatley's in one place.

Stellar work, Scott. (And I speak from first-hand experience.)

So what's the wait time like on a Heatley? What kind of payment terms? Since Shad won't let me borrow his for 30 or 40 years I might need to buy my own.

Exactly! My decision to go with Heatley was that he
would build me a state of the art, "push the envelope"
Les Paul exactly the way I wanted for about $500 less
than a new stock LP Historic would have cost me.
A no brainer. I've never played a Gibson that was up
    to Scott's standard.

I have another Heatley in the oven
myself besides the earlier "Historic Killer".
    Cant wait!

Here's mine. Best set neck guitar I've played. Just killer in every way:
