Ok, I haven't spent this much on a guitar item in a LONG time. I'm a home amp builder with guitars I'm happy with. But I noticed this guy on eBay and it seemed to be under the radar. The guy selling it has used it for years and says its working 100%.

    Echorec Bought on eBay

Its been a sorta dream to have an echorec for a long time now. But at those prices, its really not practical. Well, got my first tax refund in almost a decade and figured I'd spoil myself for the first time (almost EVERY gear i've ever purchased was way under the units value, or I built it myself). I know I probably spent a bit too much... but I figured I'd shrug that off and just enjoy playing it. I can't think of any other guitar related gear that sounds good in every clip/video I've ever seen. Hopefully this is as good as I'm thinking it is!

wish me luck that it gets here in one piece!

*EDIT: Building a website dedicated to the Echorec.

Congratulations! Tube Echorecs that are refurbished or recently serviced, well-taken care of and in great fully functional shape are usually sold for something like $2300, so consider yourself lucky... Let us know some details about its condition when you get it!

Awesome purchase, can't wait to hear about this especially in comparison to your tuned up EP3.

Keep your fingers crossed that it arrives safely and that it isn't too degraded internally - if it's in great electronic condition be prepared for the most amazing echo/delay tones ever.

We've had a pair of them at work for quite awhile now and they are without a doubt the coolest effect I've ever played. Mesmerizing stuff...

Congrats on your purchase! No need to...apologize. You wanted it for a long time, managed to afford it, pulled the trigger. Nothing wrong there. Go enjoy the heck out of it and share clips!

    Thanks guys...

...seller told me he can't ship until Monday!

Seriously, I LOVE the modern world-market and the ability to find almost anything...but that shipping wait is brutal!

It Arrived safely! I'm at work, so I haven't tested to see if it WORKS, but the lights turn on and the everything runs so far...

For those interested (and asking), I'm currently building a website dedicate to the Binson Echorec. I just posted some good photos of the unit that just arrived and I plan to fully flush out the site with more photos, audio clips, youtube links and scans of the ORIGINAL documents found with my unit.

    http://www.tylergrund.com/binson/binsonechorec.htm

When Its flushed out, I plan to make another thread on the TGP.

Wish me luck that the unit fully functions!!

Great and thanks for your time and effort... but wasn't there any description about what shape it is in? I would only pay this if the description was a very thorough one in full detail, and the unit functional. If it isn't, you should have paid 70-80% less than what you did...
