..finally seem to have my OD tones sorted, but I stumbled across a weird Blackbox four channel fuzz while demoing an old Magnatone amp on a new year's road trip.

And I've been rediscovering the nasty splatter of a good square wave..

Been intrigued by the idea of a combined Ge/Si fuzz that let's you have it either way, or cascading, and Sybil's bilious pepto-bismol pink paintjob pushed my gas into a 'buy it now' frenzy.

    Anybody got one of these?

And what's the word on that Analogic Gain Fxxker that was the subject of heated discussion last month? Any clips yet?

Somebody was recently selling one in the emporium.

Yeah, well when I first started hanging here, I PMed a few sellers and not one person ever replied. Haven't looked in there for months, but I have heard that the stuff I've been buying new sells for more in the emporium. Rudeness & greed, my favorite combination!

You're in for it now...if you like fuzz..Sybil will not disappoint. Since both sides are not completely independent (at the tone controls) you have to be careful with the settings so you don't get squeals, feedback, or other noises (though you may like that :D) ...here's an info sheet that gives more descriptions about the controls. I like the parallel mode best...the series mode is very intense ;) ...have fun!

    Hey thanks, dbx!
Would appear to be buried somewhere on retroman's site, but I never would have found it myself. I've got plenty of time to study the page as I probably won't have the fuzz in my hands for a few weeks...

Ah planning out your introduction ;) ...

I think the most fun is to just tweek keeping the tone control interactions in mind...I think you'll find several sweet fuzzy spots...

Retroman is very low key but cranks out some great efx - made when you order, nothing sitting under a heat lamp...his "Tonezilla" is also intriguing...anyone notice a rash of four knob narrow box ODs lately...I like the footprint...
