Suppose your electric guitar collection consisted of one humbucker-equipped guitar and one single coil-equipped guitar. What would you choose?

I have a Suhr Modern and a Danocaster Tele as the only two I play with any regularity. Can do all of what I want, although I am starting to look around at R7s too as I miss having a Les Paul.

Les Paul and a Jazzmaster. Ask me on another day and it might be Les Paul and a P90 guitar.

Question - do P90s count for single coil?

    Great minds think alike! ;)

Certainly, I love my R4. It would be a bit redundant I feel for this poll if I chose a LP with P90s and Humbuckers so if I went with a LP for the humbucker side I may gravitate towards an ES-295 or 330 for some variation. But Jazzmaster pickups are great; they have a nice balance between the clarity of a Strat and the beef of a P90.

    Nice Dano BTW!

Yes. Although different from Fender's designs, P90s are true single coils.

    Epiphone 1955I for single coils.

Humbucker, probably my BC Rich Bich, if I already have a les paul I need 24 frets and a double cut for my other guitar. I would steal the pickups out of my DBZ for it.

Yeah, that's it. My CR8 and my MJT Tele right now, but realistically, just about any LP + Tele will do.

The neck is from Mighty Mite, it has a 1-11/16" nut and 9.5" radius, maple with rosewood board. It has whatever fretwire the neck came with, but I have some Jescar 58118 stainless wire for it, whenever it needs some fret work. I made the body myself, it's made from swamp ash (bought a body blank, then cut, routed, and finished it myself). All Wilkinson and Gotoh hardware. And I wound those humbuckers myself too...it had the Lace Sensor rainbow pack up until yesterday, which I like, but I just wanted to wind some pickups and don't own anything else that humbuckers would fit in.
I only have 2 pics of the guitar as-is, since I just finished changing things around. It changes a lot though, I seem to get bored and refinish it pretty regularly.

Les Paul - something based on a 59

Strat - 50's style (maybe not with a vintage radius though lol - those kill my hands)

I'd be going with a Jaguar and a Gretsch Hot Rod.

And here I thought we were going to talk about the separate humbucker and single coil collections :D I have one collection of each.
