At the time this was filmed these guys we're in their late 60's and they sound GREAT!
I love that show. Daryl is so talented, his backing band is killer and yes, this episode with Sammy really nailed it. I actually also really liked the one he did with Cee Lo. They killed it on I Can’t Go For That and One on One.
I love Sammy's Van Halen idea with Daryl
The episode with the Ojays is also great
There was a rumor back in the day that Daryl Hall was going to be hired to front Van Halen.
But it never went anywhere because Daryl wanted to change the chorus of Panama to "P-A-N-A-M-A, P-A-N-A-M-A hey"
I love the part where the Ojays were talking, and one of them said that Daryl had so much soul in him, he should have a afro, something like that, awesome show, so many killin' episodes
That's an amazing series! My favorite was the one with Cheap Trick. Robin Zander is so good it's unreal.
Sammy is absolutely fantastic in this!!!
Nice, my favorite is Joe Walsh.
Very cool. The Cheap Trick one is great also.
man, that band KILLS!!
Best music show in the last 35 years. Haven't seen any new ones. I like everyone a bit better after seeing them with Daryl.
Sammy & DH just LOVE music, to take off the studio masks,
And share live
When did Rick Neilsen turn into Bob Newhart?
My favorite was at Todd Rundgren's house in Hawaii. Their version of "Didn't I Blow Your Mind" was amazing.
Brian Dunne is so good.
He is a great example of why you build a great band around a great drummer.
1st of all. Sammy. Dude. The freaking MAN!
2nd of all, Shane Theriot. Dude is a MONSTER player. (as was Paul Pesco before him on Daryl's deal, but Shane's a better fit I think).
Was going to rave about Shane, dude is very diverse/dynamic,
I got to see Hall and Oats about 3-4 yrs ago with THAT band, and from note 1, ...kicked it, ...so dern good !!!
I did see them in 78' and 80' with G E Smith and T Bone, that was a whole another good, my musical life has been blessed for sure.
The drummer is one of my favorites, just plain groovin' and just killin' it
Sounds great. My band has Rock Candy on our list to learn next.
Indeed a good episode. Great show.
