If you have the time to listen to the entire thing... I think you'll dig this. The interplay between the strings and guitar during the middle of the song make it worth while... even if it is not your cup-o-noodles.

    A new thingy...

Did I mention this is VERY unmixed? Prolly...

    Me

Heh.... just realized that there is a temp bass track in part of the song that I failed to mute when doing an export... such is life. I can live with it if you can.

That was fantastic! I was totally captivated throughout the entire piece. Love the changes in mood and your work with the strings. Really Rockin'!

    Yeah Chris,

This is the best thing about the Gear Page - hearing such cool playing for nothing! That whole thing smoked!

You have more than 5 fingers on your left hand right? :D :dude

Wow!! One page of comments and already 30 dudes, an eek and a rockin!! Seriously... I really appreciate the feedback! I had a lot-o-fun recording this and it's nice to hear that other people enjoyed it as well.

I was sooo diggin' this from the point where the ethnic drums kick in with the rythm... and the little chord break/harmony lead answer and call thingy it goes into.

When I originally posted the idea, it was just the verse/chorus portion of the song as an idea with the thought of a concept instrumental album that had a written story that goes with it... I think I have the basis for the story now and am anxious to see how it comes out.

Again... I appreciate all the feedback!

Cool concept and very well done. Certainly deserves repeated listening. Much "modern rock" leaves me kinda cold and glazed over, but this piece is very emotive and original. Keep it up!

I just stopped by to browse on this site and I just got a chance to listen to your clip! (I usually hang on harmony central... easy guys lol )I absolutely loved your clip!! I loved the playing and composition but I must admit that I hated the tone (Just not my cup of tea but I'm sure that you wouldn't like my tone lol :D)

    Well done!!

gainfreak - thanks a ton for taking to the time to respond! I actually like a wide varity of tones... I just might like yours too!! I appreciate the honest feedback.

There are parts of the sound I am getting that I like and parts that I don't like. The mic that I am using currently is good at capturing the highs IMO... but it doesn't do the mids and lows justice. One of these days, I'll find a mic (or combination of mics) that give the same representation of the highs and captures the others as well.

One of these days I'll get it right!! Now, I just need to not be so afraid of further experimentation :D

Fretmaster - your too kind!! WAY too kind! Thanks a ton.

forestryguy - That means a ton too me... seriously. The fact that you would give it a second listen even thought it isn't your choice of styles is a HUGE compliment.

PAF - Really appreciate your feedback. You take the time to listen to every track I throw out here and that is a great honor!

    rkstarr - That's what I'm sayin'!!
