1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

    Probably a Hotcake.....

But you need to specify what amp and what style of music.....

If its a Vox inspired amp then yes, Hotcake. And that would probably cover most gigs.

But if its a Fender Blackface vibe then maybe some TS variant. Not too sure about the vesatillity of that rig.

If you are doing a Marshall thing then maybe a booster of some sort. Or a Fuzz that cleans up amazingly well? That could cover a bunch of styles.

So the simple answer is, it depends.

HBE PowerScreamer; it cleans up well with your guitar's volume knob, and has a very usable lead boost. My second choice would be a Barber Small Fry, lots of great sounds in it.

Xotic RC Booster if I can crank my amp.

If I can't crank the amp then a BB Preamp.

Analogman King of Tone/Tele man Jim Wieder and Mike worked on this for a long time to be amp like with a Tele, awesome pedal with single coils

Another pedal that simply works great with my Teles and is very amp like is the Barber Small-fry

I'm torn, either the Diamond compressor, Klon Centaur or Zvex SHO. Of course the T-rex Alberta also sounds amazing with my Tele...decisions,decisions.

I definately agree with those who said the Super Hard On. Although, my Tim sounds mighty fine too.
