    Hi,

I just am so in awe of my Suhr Classic (3 sc VS60LP). It works with so many different styles and sounds. It inspired me to write this tune "If I Could". Usuall you guys guess where I get my influences from when it comes to my tunes. Will be interesting to read your guesses this time!

All guitar sounds were recorded using my Suhr Classic through a Boss GS-10 straight into the computer. I think it sounds very good for being recorded direct.

    Here's the tune:
    If I Could

    And here's the backing track:

    All comments appreciated!

    Cheers,

    Mats N

I really like this tune. I guess it's all to easy to over play sometimes (well I know I do). It's so refreshing to hear some lovely melodic playing. I Really like the chorused clean sound too. Hint's of Floyd/Gilmore at times.

    Congratulations on the new Shur.

I ordered a classic with 1.687 maple neck, brazilian rosewood fretboard, light weight alder body, 1088 bridge, 6105 SS frets,
SSH pickups, Olympic white with tortiseshell guard.

Nice guitar tone, slightly Dave Gilmour at times, and excellent production.

    Hi,

Weldaar - There's a new saying " If you can't play more, have fun with less" :)

Marin - Yes there was indeed a bit of Gilmour in my mind when playing/composing but also a fair bit of Camel from he old days.

    Cheers,

    Mats N

I made an attempt on this as well. "Mystique Can", is to be found at my soundclick page. Guitar is Chapin Hawk (Neck PU in strat mode an then bridge, tele, pickup. Amp is my Mystique Blue Star proto. Kind of Dumbel inspired amp but not Robben era Dumble. This is more of a Lowell George/Lindley/Landreth voiced amp.

Great guitar tone. Sounds very Momentary Lapse-ish with a splash of Vai harmonies thrown in there. Enjoying it.

Ah Journo that was so nice and loved the relaxed feel alot.
Defently has a PF vibe to it at places, but with a style of your own.
And thanks for the track, I am sweating over it from time to time...hehe
Soon I guees something will work out;)

Now that you mention it, I can hear a little of Camel's "Snowgoose" influence.

    Very nice.
