Love the musicianship, the sadness, and the songs. Just a ridiculously talented guy. Too bad he's gone.

    Any other fans?

I made a thread about him a few weeks ago, didn't get much replies either. But yes, just an amazingly talented musician in many different ways. And since it's TGP, he gets some really sweet tones out of his Tele. ;)

You should check out his father, Tim Buckley...who tragically died young as well.

There are lots of Jeff Buckley fans on TGP. A quick search will turn up many pages of discussion.

His album Grace is on my top ten list. As the OP says, such talent - and such a loss.

Apparently he was a big fan of Allan Holdsworth and classmate of Allen Hinds at GIT by the way....

He and Jimmy Herring were best buds when they were at G.I.T.

Jeff was such an amazing talent.

Pretty much been a fan since Grace came out. It's remained on my desert island list since then.

Crazy good tone and crazy talent, with so much emotion in every note. He writes really good stuff too.

Ditto on 'Grace'-- such an amazing album.

Doesn't get much better than 'Grace.' Big Jeff Buckley fan right here. His cover of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' is one of my favorite songs.

Yep, Grace is timeless. Live, he was a completely spontaneous player. Jeff Buckley is one of my favorites.

    So Passionate.

    Insanely talented.

People are scared sh!tless to try and imitate him because his sound is so BIG.

I wish more people would try, though.

Respectfully, I don't care to hear people say his music is "sad". That's a reflection of the listener. This is what music should sound like, if you really care about what you're singing about. Or are you just a business-man?

"Grace" is probably in my top 5 albums list.

I have one friend that swears it was the main influence on Ok, Computer. Don't know if I believe him, but it's interesting to ponder.

I'm sure Radiohead heard 'Grace' before they made 'OK Computer', but I don't think I can buy what your friend is selling about it being an influence on 'OK Computer'. That said, 'Grace' is amazing album and should be in everybody's top 10 albums of the 90's (along with OK Computer).

One of my all time favorites. Grace is one of those albums that I never get tired of and always find something new to appreciate when I listen to it.
