I am planning another build and want to get some opinions before I start buying everything. It is going to be a Tele body/neck, but different.

Body: Flame maple top, mahogany back hollow body tele w/ 2 F-holes and rear routed for controls (USACG)
Neck: From American Std Tele - all maple
Pickups: 2 - Mini Humbuckers (Duncan Vintage Minis?)
    Bridge: Schaller Hannes bridge
Controls: Tele style (Vol, Tone, 3 way switch) but mounted straight to the body. No pickguard or chrome control cover.

So the big question I have is for the pickups. Any opinions on a good mini-bucker? Any opinions on mini-buckers at all? I played my friends Firebird and fell in love with the tone he gets from his Gibson minis, so I thought I would try to incorporate something like that in this one too.

    Opinions/suggestions are welcome and encouraged.

The GFS mini hums are actually pretty good. I've AB'd them with a set of Duncans, and the difference between the two was pretty negliable. I have a set of the GFS I'm putting in a build I'm doing too. I think you'll like them.
