I am thinking of trading my EJ strat for a Suhr Classic S with humbuckers in the neck and bridge. I do like the EJ, but want something a little different. I think the coils can be split on either end of the Suhr, and it is Sonic Blue and beautiful! I would be switching from a maple neck to a rosewood one.

How do the two compare? Anyone played both? I haven't been able to get used to the flat sticky neck on the EJ, plus it became a little less used since I purchased a CS 66 reissue strat.

    Opinions and/or advice?

Suhr makes great guitars...I'd jump on it.

compare prices on both... if the suhr is worth more, trade and if you don't like it, sell it and get something better.

Run as quickly as you can to make this trade, then when made, run in the opposite direct squealing like a little girl.

Sounds like a fair trade. Do it if you like the other guitar better, don't think of it because of the money.

Maple necks sound different than rosewood. RW is mellower to me and not as agressive sounding...

By the way you can get all the coil splitting options and wiring stuff for dirt cheap on your Fender too, thats not a plus to me....
