opinions on Duncan Alnico II for tele

Hi, I have a nice Am Vintage tele and want to change the pickups as they are not good IMO. I love the APH in a Knaggs Severn, so I was thinking in replacing them in the tele. Can I expect the same vein of sound in the tele as in the Knaggs? Thanks for your comments.
