Optical Phasers?

    Anyone care to help out my list of optical phasers out there?

    Ah, thanks for clearing that up. Several people have posted that it was, but I thought I remembered you saying otherwise (hence the question mark).

    i think the redwitch is opto based as well.

    fairly certain the mxr phase 100 is jfet based.

    The discontinued TC Electronic XII Phaser is also optical.

    4ms phaseur fleur and the infinitiphase are optical

    MXR P45/P90 are jfet (as are most small-box phasers)
    MXR P100 is opto
    Mutron Bi-Phase is opto
    Univibe is opto
    EH bad Stone and Small Stone are OTA

    my mistake on the p100. I always just assumed from the mxr ad type saying it was the big brother of the p90, that it was fet based.

    Morley used to make a volume pedal with a phase pedal (w/sweepable phase). I still have that pedal though though it needs some work. Enjoyed using it as a alternative to a wah pedal. With the resonance turned all the way down, the sound would do this "oily" sort of shift thing that is closer to a light chorus, but different.


    I think it was called the Pro Paser? I'll have to dig it up and check.
