Orange Tiny Terror - open or closed back cab?

I am looking to get an Avatar Vintage style 1x12 cabinet for my Tiny Terror. I was planning on getting an open back cab filled with a G12H30 - or should I go for the closed back? I prefer versatility over playing one particular style of music, but I prefer classic rock, Vox types of tones...

Would that be a good match?

For that amp, closed back. The differences are subtle, but I prefer more thump with that circuit, so if you can find a closed back that disperses well, it would sound great with the TT for sure.

Sounds GREAT through both my closed back Marshall 4x10 and Fender 2x12...never tried it through an open back.

Played my tiny terror through an open-back 1x12 with a WHGS Veteran 30, sounded alright but I suspected it would be better with a closed back. I bought a Celestion G-12M and I'm awaiting a Lopo Sinature 1x12, closed back. Just got off the phone with Lopo because my cab isn't showing in the UPS system but was suppose to be here today. If I ever get the cab, I'll give a tone report.

So, three for closed back? Anyone think it sounds "boxier" with the closed back? A friend plays one through a closed back and is recommending an open back, thinks it sounds a little too focused and a bit boxy....any other thoughts?

I tried a friend's Tiny Terror through my THD 212 cabinet and thought it sounded great. The THD will give you the airiness and big imaging of an open back along with the thump of a closed-back cabinet.

I use a closed back Avatar 2x12 with 1 v30 and 1 texas heat and it's a real solid combo. Lots of mid ranged growl, great for rock, which I think is the Terrors strength.

After talking with some guys on the Orange board I'm considering a 1x12 w/Greenback, but I can't quite justify it yet.

I am a complete opposite of you, although I wouldn't say there isn't a reason for a close back I prefer semi-open. I find them more 3D and less focused in one direction. Both my cabs are semi open back and have no problem "thumping", I also feel it enhances bass response.
