Orange Users

    How many ohms are the speakers on the 2x12 orange cab, sorry i can't open mine cause i am in the caribbean right now and the cab is in the USA

    I believe all Orange cabs are wired to 16 ohms.

    yeap. but the thing is that i don't know if the speakers are 8 or 16, i am really dumb when it comes to this things

    need to know if the speakers are 8 or 16.

    its most likely two 16ohm speakers

    if the cab is 16 ohms (which stock it should be) its either two 8 ohm speakers in series or, two 32 ohm speakers in parallel. It can't be anything else, and since no one is making 32 ohm speakers, vchizzle is right.

    yup. :agree

    BUT... to be fair, ampeg makes 32 ohm 10"s, and some other companies do to (mostly bass drivers).

    Speakers? I heard they're actually two pina colada's wired in stereo.

    The problem with those is that the little umbrellas reverse the polarity of the cones.

    Unless you are using directional cable of course.

    There's actually a really simple mod to change any cable to function as a directional cable. You buy two 1/4" conductor phone plugs (Mojo Musical makes some that I LOVE), and replace the jacks on the stock cable with these. Remember in which order you put them on, mark with a red Sharpie, and plug in.

    For maximum enjoyment, learn to play.
