    Yeah, SS old Lead 12. The old Alnico speaker really works with that amp. It's great for recording and small room practices.

    The early blackguard Teles are my favorite. Nothing sounds like a good one.

    I really loved the tone of that Tele- the more clips I hear done with a Tele, the more that i want one!

    thanks guys...you got to have a Tele! They can be a challenge to play, but once you get in a grove with one, it will do things no other guitar can.

    I agree with Plaintop...teles can be very unforgiving and a bit tough to play, but it's worth the time invested. There's something about the purity and simplicity of a tele that forces you to work on your technique and phrasing.

    I've also noticed that many non-Tele players gravitate to the the Tele in their maturing years (myself included).

    And the tone! Plaintop's 52' is to die for. You could plug a guitar like that into a water heater and it would sound good.
