    Hello everyone!

I play guitar and keys in Dallas-based rock n roll band Thieves of Sunrise. We just put all of our music up on Spotify, including two new songs that we have out on 7" vinyl. The new singles were tracked completely live direct-to-disc at Welcome to 1979 in Nashville.

Give us a listen and please follow us on Spotify if you dig it!
The new songs are "I Walk Away" and "Save Me Tonight"

Dig the Stones/Black Crowes vibe. Are you on a label? How'd you get your stuff on Spotify?

Thanks so much! Two of our big influences, for sure.

No, we're not on a label; we're completely independent right now. I'm not exactly sure how we ended up putting our music on Spotify (the singer does most of that kind of stuff), but I know that we didn't need a label to do so. I think we simply created a Spotify profile and used CD Baby, but I'm honestly guessing.

Here's a link that may be of more help than I could be for getting music on Spotify:

Hope that helps! Please follow us on Spotify if you have an account

Thanks so much for the awesome comments everyone!

For anyone interested in the guitar sounds-

The intro and solo guitar is me.
American Deluxe Telecaster, Callaham bridge, Van Zandt True Vintage bridge pickup. Carr Rambler cranked to 10 with the mids cranked in Triode mode, just a touch of spring reverb. I step on the King of Tone yellow side during the solo for a subtle boost.

The other guitar is Shaun Crawford. It's a stock Gretsch Electromatic into a Fender Excelsior and he studio's Vox AC15 both cranked up pretty well.

We did this song totally live- no overdubs, no editing, mixed/mastered on the spot in a single take. So much fun!

Yeah man, sounded great! Nice rig-rundown! :)

Do you use the Rambler in your live-rig too (mic'd)?

Yes, I usually use the Rambler live on 10. If it's too loud, I turn it around and put a road case in front. For really small shows, I use a '68 Vibro Champ cranked to 10. I pretty much always use a Chicago Iron Octavian Plus. That's often my only pedal, sometimes a stack of dimes Thomas Organ Crybaby or my EP3 Echoplex. Just got a Vibratone and I'll be touring with that after I get a big road case for it!

Very cool. Keepin' it simple and cranked to 10...nice.

I have to pack for a gig tonight, and while I do, imma crank your album through the monitors, for a better listen.

    Best wishes on the tour!

You rock! Thanks! The two new singles "I Walk Away" and "Save Me Tonight" are the ones recently released! Soul Stew is a bit older and is a much earlier stage in this band's songwriting but check it out too! Have a good gig my friend!
