this will travel to europe soon : a '91 Orville by Gibson 335 model. loaded with Gibson/Bill Lawrence pups, aged nickel/aluminum hardware and in a radiating sunburst - tone report to follow ! this is my second Japanese 335 type guitar after an Ibanez Artist 2630 that i owned in the early 80's... hope this one let's me retire my '63 ES-345 for good !

well, it turned out differently - the deal did not go through and i have since bought another nice semi instead : a '81 Ibanez AS-50, with a set of WCR Darkburst pups installed, about $ 350,- less than this Orville ! i'm happy with the new guitar, it fits the bill to a T ! it sounds a bit brighter + more aggressive than my '63 ES-345, has superb sustain, feels very solid but it's not a heavy guitar. great playability, tone for days, soo comfortable due to the slightly smaller size and i have money left over for a refret (it's still got the original, kinda low frets) and a new/used Love Pedal COT50 :)
