My fellow musicians! I'm sure many of you have heard of the St. Baldrick's Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping cure childhood cancers.

The way they raise money is with head shaving events....people commit to shaving their heads in solidarity with cancer patients & raise money through their work/friends/family/church/etc.

My work (Salon Blu in Raleigh, NC) helps out every year at one of the local events by shaving heads. I've hit my (modest) goal of $100 but wanted to reach out to you all. ANY amount you donate would be appreciated....if EVERY forum member donated $1 think of how much money we could raise.

We got involved because my boss's child was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 3. Thankfully he has made a recovery (he's 6 now) through 3 long and hard years of chemo & bone marrow transplants. Many kids are not as lucky as him.

If you'd like to donate, you can go here:

thank you so much for your kindness & generosity!

Do you know if a donation would be considered Tax-deductible?

I'd love to help, but i've got a D-style overdrive i NEED badly and the only way i can swing a donation is if it's tax deductable.

    thanks and good luck!

It's a tough crowd here as I've tried many times to get some donations here for Diabetes which I myself got screwed with. I'll tell you what I'll make a donation to Cancer if you can do the same for Diabetes.....:aok
