There is place nearby me called the ReuseCentre basically an indoor year round garage sale. They have a 30 foot long shelf 4 high filled with old suitcases.I would find tweed/vintage cases all the time for 9.99.
I used them for gig cases, kids toy's and such until i got 99.00 for one in good shape on Fee-pay.They have mojo but i'm getting old so the nice heavy duty Sampsonites with wheels get the gig duties now.
Ive outfiitted my entire band from this place i love it!

Anybody ever build an amp in one of these cases?

Very nice! I am looking for another soon. I paid a whopping $3 for the one I have now. I did wear it out though as the duct tape shows. Twenty years of gigging will do that. :D
