Other recording forums

What other forums are good for learning about home recording? Like I really need to spend more time on forums, but I just got a fairly simple home setup and figure I might as well read up on how others do it.

If it matters, I'm using Mac GB and Logic Express 9, an Apogee Duet with M-Audio BX5a monitors. At the moment, I'm looking for insight on how to do decent-quality demo-type recording. Input levels, compression and mixing are areas that I want to learn about first.

Thanks for your help!

Gearslutz is definitely the biggest, but you have to wade through the bad to get the good.
And there's a lot more bad then good in that one... probably not worth much these days. Couple years ago it was a different story...

The tape op forum is filled with some pretty solid cats.

'Move the Mics' is fairly new. They require you to use your real name.

And there's also Lynn Fustons 3dB board which I always forget about...

I own a commercial recording studio and have been a long time residence over at gearslutz......wonderful site run by Jules.......there are some heavy hitters hanging out at that forum...........I am fairly new here at TGP......after 2 decades of being in the studio world I got itchy feet for doing guitar stuff.......now I am over here more than there. My wife is happy now that I am doing more guitar stuff........buying a boutique amp or pedal is alot cheaper than all the high end mic pres, comps and converters!
