I love most of Steve's work so what I listen to depends on my mood.

Regarding Stand Up, Steve doesn't like it, he felt pressured to do the vocal tunes. But I like it for what it is. Cool, quirky tunes and he chose the singers well. Book of Dreams is one of my favorite songs ever, guaranteed speeding ticket and I love to hear it LOUD. It took me forever to figure out that Van Temple, the vocalist, was from The Producers. Great voice for the tune. Patrick Simmons does a great turn too. I saw that tour, wish I could remember the dude who played and sang all those tunes with him. Good guitarist and strong singer.

I'll listen to everything from early Dregs to now. My taste spans Mahavishnu to Country to Classical, so I can follow all the turns and enjoy myself. I can't listen for hours on end, the machine gun eventually gets to me, but he's a great all-around guitarist.

Why isn't The Introduction on the list?

That album, and the title track in particular, is my favourite Morse. :)

I love pretty much all of it, but Distant Star, Tumeni Notes, and Modoc are particular favorites. Modoc, to my ear, is impeccably performed and hauntingly beautiful.

"Third Power" from High Tension shows a chromatic side of Morse that sounds a bit like Stern or Martino actually so you might like that and "Cut to the Chase" from Southern Steel burns.

Southern Steel is my favorite: Simple Simon, Vista Grande, Sleaze Factor, Southern Steel being my favorite tracks. The only song I don't love on that album is Wolfsong.
High Tension Wires: Endless Waves, Country Colors, and Ghost Wind are my favorites.
Coast to Coast-Runaway Train and Collateral Damage.
    Stressfest- Stressfest
Major Impacts 1- Truth Ola and While Something Gently Weeps
Major Impacts 2- Organically Grown and Air on a 6 string
Split Decision- Busybodies, Marching Orders, and Clear Memories
    Structural Damage- Slice of Time
Outstanding in Their Field- Baroque N' Dreams

My least favorite albums are Structural Damage, Stressfest, and Stand Up. Favorites are Southern Steel, High Tension Wires and Split Decisions.

My thoughts, as well. Amazing composition! Aside from the crazy chops required to play this piece, how would you cop those bagpipe tones?

Harp Harmonics. It's fun, and not really that difficult.
