Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

Has anybody seen or played one of these? Is there something about the P90's that don't mesh with the Maple?

I own 3 guitars with Soapbars, all rosewood boards, and thats all I ever seen out there.

I would think P90's having a little more grind in them than single coils makes them perfect for maple fretboards, but apparently somethings up.

Do I have too special order a $3000 guitar to find out? Maybe after the lottery.

PRS CU22 Soapbars came standard with maple fretboards I believe. I've had 2 maple-fretboard-ed ones and they sounded good to me, but pretty much like the rosewood ones to me (my current CU22 Soapy has a rosewood fretboard; I prefer the feel).

Lentz Prototype DL-90. Love the Maple Neck /Ash Body combo. And, Lentz does a great job of winding his own P90s.

Plays great. . . sounds great.
