I have not been following the news, was that a gimmick or the real set reported to be in a dumpster?

If the real thing, I wonder why they tossed the set in the trash and didn't save it for a television museum.

The studio doesn't look like it held that large of an audience.

Cool! I was in that place a few times to see the Ed Sullivan Show. It surprised me how few seats there were/are.

Will the Colbert Late Show use the same place?

Cool. Zoom in on the band area. Paul had an a complicated setup. Love the old black phone. Not much boutique gear for the guitarists/bassist. I wonder how they always sounded to good? :huh

Huh? Not seeing that, or the black phone on the bandstand.

I always try to picture the Beatles on that stage. Seemed like a huge auditorium when I used to watch Ed Sullivan.

Thanks for posting this, very cool!

Lots of things in that scene when you zoom in, there's a picture, maybe Dave's wife(?), placed on the balcony of one of the model buildings, the one to the left of the spiral staircase. And a framed sketch of Ed Sullivan in the hallway outside the studio.

I just read that while the set went to the dumpster fast, where it was pounced on by fans, his desk was carefully bubble-wrapped.

I love the bass player's Hartke amp. I use a Hartke 60 combo for playing around the house.

I cannot make out what the guitar player is using. Anybody else have better eyes than me, and can tell?
