    Good morning,

I'm looking for a particular type of EQ but don't know any of the brand names to browse. Can some of you suggest anything for me to check out?

What I want is a rack-mount, single-channel, 3 band (minimum) or more, Parametric EQ. Not too high-end, maybe high-mid-end:p.

    Thanks

For used gear, check out a TL Audio EQ-1 or an Orban.

New, I'd look at Langevin or Toft.

The Speck is the real winner in the $500 price range.

DBX 242 designed by Bob Orban. Usually used on ebay for under $200

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to check out the Speck and a Klark-Technik.

Rane PE15 is great; nice and cheap, very effective. Not the best EQ for adding vibe or cool grit or dirt, but great for tuning untuned drums/"surgery" EQing. Any Ashly that I've tried is great as well.
