I just bought a bunch of Belden 8218 75ohm coax(George L type) and Switchcraft connectors. I'm making all my patch cables and guitar cords w/ the Switchcrafts so I can solder them. I'm going to sell my Georgio connectors as soon as I'm done.

I've used the Planet Wave pedalboard kit with good results.

    +1 on the Planet Waves.
A buddy had them, so I replaced all my George Ls.
Just as good a signal, ten times stronger and a breeze to make!

You just cut the cable with the cutter they give you, push the plugs on (make sure they bottom out) and tighten the screw on the side of the plug until it bottoms out. Very easy and it save a lot of trouble when you re-arrange your board.

I don't think the planet waves are easier to make than the George L's. I actually found them more difficult and less reliable. The George L's are fairly bullet proof AND idiot proof. They can be a little hard to unscrew but once they're built, they're solid. IMO of course.

Dang... way to resurrect a 4 year old thread!
    :eeks

And oddly enough, I'm still happily using Bill Lawrence cable with zero failures and great tone!
