Hi all, due to various circumstances, I'm likely going to be ordering the Firebox. Since the return period is pretty short, I'm going to have to decide pretty quick if it's going to work for me or not. Can anyone recommend some user patches that are available for download and where to get them? Is there a facebook page going for that? Also, can anyone recommend a good repository of user suggestions on how to dial these things in? A thread maybe where all of those tips are in one place? I think there's something like that going for the helix on tgp but I'm not sure about the firebox. Thanks!

What kind of sounds are you looking for? Do you have an IR collection?

A lot of good info on the Atomic forum about different amps......... should be easy enough to locate and will answer a lot of questions for you.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that! Yeah I'm looking for Fender and Vox almost clean sounds, like getting one of those amps to the point where the tubes are just starting to break up, and ye old Marshall sound, a la 80s Richie Sambora sounding. I don't have any IR collections to this point. I really could use tutorials, info on settings, and patch and ir collections. In other words, a few quick places I could go to find that info and those downloads, without having to spend loads of time scouring the internet.
User settings, helpful hints to make settings and IRs sound more lifelike, and tutorials are really what i"m after.

Also, thanks @flcmcya I'll check out the atomic forum as well.

Some things to check out. Mostly I'd just go in and turn the compressor and EQ off on all the presets and play around with different amp/IR combos. Experiment with gain, volume, and dampening in the amp in particular, since these have the biggest impact on tone/feel; experiment with the high cut in the cab block - some folks like none, others like as low as 4.5-5kHz.

The deluxe and vox patches/IRs here are good.: http://atomicamps.com/forum/index.php?threads/some-of-my-presets.195/
Some good Vox discussion in this thread: http://atomicamps.com/forum/index.php?threads/overdriven-p-w-rhythm-preset.449/
Good discussion in this thread: http://atomicamps.com/forum/index.php?threads/clean-fender-twin.210/
Some very basic Deluxe stuff here: http://atomicamps.com/forum/index.php?threads/deluxe-patches.173/
Folks like this patch a lot: http://atomicamps.com/forum/index.php?threads/clean-to-dirty-kornfield.162/
I like the celestion blue IR in the Marshall Alnico patch I shared here: http://atomicamps.com/forum/index.php?posts/2583/
The stuff @journo does is awesome: http://nermark.com/AF_Style_Packs.htm
Some interesting IRs and fairly solid patches: http://atomicamps.com/forum/index.php?threads/new-presets-available-to-download.791/

You will find that importing patches made on the 3 or 12 button Amplifire products don't port perfectly - in particular, the reverb and master level controls import kinda wonky. I've been told they're working on a resolution to that issue for a firmware update.

They should hire you. You are the most generous person ever for them!
