I love Paul Gilbert. Such an infectious positivity. And I love how he takes "non-boutique" pedals and just proceeds to wipe the floor with the rest of us.

I’m not very familiar with most of his work but I love his new album. Going to see him next Monday night. Can’t wait.

Paul seems like such a cool person.

That interviewer though- seems like he had no idea who Paul Gilbert is

Attended a VIP thing with him here in Toronto a couple weeks ago. One hell of a player and a cool dude.

Took this crappy picture of his board

That was a fun one. He also had a very good grip on the architecture of that board to do exactly what he wanted/needed. In that last test drive, I love how he had that metal slide on the lower bout held on with MAGNETS, ha that's a trip. Classic Paul, infections enthusiasm and genuine love of the music. Thanks for sharing.

Great guy...I travel with my amps generally....But that's a clever tip about renting the 100W Plexi!

He does a pretty good Satin Doll w/ power drill picks. I'll always remember meeting that guy at school in 1984.

    Who are your influences?

    Todd Rundgren.

I caught that show. I went total fanboy and lost my mind during the encore when Paul walked out on stage. It was fantastic.

I'm looking forward to seeing him later this month.

Loved the video. I could listen to Paul Gilbert play all day.

You can tell he still loves playing.

Always has been. I got to take privates with Paul at MI back in the day. The most articulate ripping shredder ever. He could play any song and make it look easy. We would play a game, i would name a song and he would rip it. I never could stump him. Name a song, Hey Jude, Crossfire, Higher Ground, Eruption, Cliffs of Dover, whatever. He was and is a student of guitar forever. Constantly practicing and working to be better. I learned a hell of alot from him, not just how to rip...

That was a great watch and he is an inspiration for sure not only with his playing but his attitude and personality.

And I agree - he uses the MojoMojo obviously and his main board has a few other things but none of them super fancy/rare unobtanium. He made the all TC board sound pretty doggone good.

And he coined my current favorite guitar tone description - "Stylish"!
