I posted the video of our version of Buck Owens' "Under Your Spell Again" here a couple of weeks back, but thought I would create another thread to share some new videos we uploaded recently :) We are lucky to have the great Mike Smith on pedal steel with us once in a while and it's always a thrill to play with him (he toured with Charlie Rich, Hank Snow, The Judds, Gatlin Brothers, etc.). On top of being a great player with a pro attitude, he's the nicest guy ever :)

    - Covering some of our heroes:

But we don't only do covers lol, here are some originals:

Trust me I mean this as constructive...

I'm not sure whether the singer is trying too hard or not trying enough. She's just kind of "there". I'd like to see her dress down a bit and let loose with the vocal.

The band is tight and brings it.

I heard that too when I listened to Guitars, Cadillacs earlier tonight. I joked to myself, hmm, I bet the guitar player mixed that. Guitar is out in front, singer is quiet.
I'll listen to the rest in the morning. Can't play them with appropriate volume right now.

Strong Imelda May vibe on the original--nice!

Well it's funny, I didn't mix this, the drummer is the one who did the audio and she's the one who asked to have more electric guitar in the mix and approved the final mix ;) Like I said in the other thread, I agree that it could be turned down a notch in the mix, but at least we made the effort to have an overall decent audio recording in a YouTube video. Thanks again for taking the time to watch the videos! :)

Sounds great to me. Good originals...hey, it's good when the only negative comments are about the mix. So funny, you guys obviously sound good, but someone has to mention that they feel the guitar is too loud...

wow... sounds great! Some great playing by everybody and I dig the singer.
Just curious what type of amp you are using?

I was actually listening to a bunch of Buck Owens the beginning of this week. Great stuff!

Yep! 27sauce (who plays professionally to very large audiences) is spot-on as always. These look and sound great, as before.

I can't help but wonder if the helpful critics can offer examples of their fine videos and mixes so we can learn from their expertise?

Really great stuff! Looks and sounds great. The whole package is very cohesive. The western wear store is a perfect venue, visually. The song shot in the desert reminds me of Lindi Ortega. Where is your band at career-wise? Are you touring? Gigging full time?

Thanks! :) We have an album out and are going to be working on the next one shortly, for which we'll most likely tour quite a bit next year. This year we'll be staying in the South West I think. We toured Europe twice in the past couple of years, and also did a run of dates with Dwight Yoakam. We are working on some more cool stuff for this year so we'll see where it will take us. We played about 200 shows last year and this year is looking pretty busy too. Can't complain :)

Good stuff...the band sounds good...not to Kanye, but I can't help but post Cary Ann Hearst's cover of Dreaming My Dreams. I think it's probably the best cover of that song I've ever heard.
