Peavey 6505+ & Orange TH30 Which is more darker and less tighter?

    This is my final post about guitar amplifiers! I promise. Peavey 6505+ & Orange TH30 Which is more darker and less tighter?

    The 6505+ is super tight, so probably not that one.

    definitely Orange.

    I second MmcGrouty, 6505+(and other 5150 variant) are super tight
    Orange sound much more sluggish.

    I've had both amps. The 6505 has a tight gain sound right out of the gate. The TH30 is darker, looser, less focused.

    Much like it's hard to dial out the tightness of the 6505, it's equally difficult to dial out the looseness of the TH30. You can throw an overdrive pedal in front to tighten it up, but it will never be mistaken for anything else but an Orange. If that's what you're going after, then enjoy!

    I've got a TH30 and I love the fact that it doesn't sound like everything else. YMMV

    You just described the Orange in relationship to the peavy. These amps are like comparing apples and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...
