Was just rearranging some things in my studio and ended up with a wall of the older classics...I've got a classic 400 bass head but that is for sale so it's not in the picture....thought some fans of the tweed classics would enjoy this picture...sorry it was taken with my phone ;)

    They've all been sold but I've owned a Classic 50 2x12, 30 and 20.

    Nice amps.

EDIT: I also had the 1x15 extension cab. That thing made the 2x12 sound huge!

I just picked up a old Classic 50 2x12 that sounds amazing. These amps are so underrated it's crazy. I gigged with a Classic 50 4x10 for several years in the late 90's and now I'm back again. Killer amps...IMO.

I'm on the look out for a old 4x10 and a Classic 20.

Yeah the classic 20 is an amazing little amp...they usually for the same price at classic 30's, sometimes more...4X10 cabs are very common. The things you usually don't see much in this series are the Classic 400 Bass head, Classic 100 Head and 1x15 Cab :)

    Nice collection :AOK

I had a C30 for quite a while. Performed the obligatory speaker and tube upgrades and it was a very good value.

I had a Classic 50 w/ 4x10s and I never really bonded with it. I am more of a hard rock/metal player so the amp really doesn't fit into that sort of playing. When I was doing more classic rock stuff, it pulled that off just fine. I ended up selling it.

I rock the Classic 30 on the regular. Only amp I've owned twice.

I've got the offshoot Delta Blues 1x15. Great amp, I can always rely on it to give a good performance anytime, anywhere.

Big fan of the old classic tweed series....the classic 50 halfstack got me hooked...I use it on hard rock all the time with no problems :)

The classic 30 gets abused a lot...it's had a lot of work done to it internally and your basic speaker/tube upgrade :)

The Peavey classic series amps are nice. I prefer the 50 to the 30, just sounds bigger and fuller.

Only thing I don't like about the older peavey classic series is the lack of an effects loop....

I'm a fan, have owned a C30 for probably close to a decade now. Been thinking of grabbing a C50 4x10, kind of miss the one I used to have.

both my 30 and 50 have an effects loop and they aren't the new design ones...maybe the first first runs of the classic series didn't have an effects loops but they put it in pretty fast I would imagine :)

Not sure what the best speaker for just the clean channel would be but i have a Celestion V30 in mine and I love the clean channel...I the V30 is considered a standard upgrade for a Classic 30 :)
