While priority number one when pedal shopping is the sound, how many of us have ever walked through guitar center or a local guitar shop and stopped and said "Whoa, what's that pedal? I wanna try that one" based on how cool the art is?

I know I have. So my questions to you all are these:

    1. What's your favorite brand when it comes to pedal art design?
    2. What's your favorite looking pedal or pedals?

For art design, I tend to really like Catalinbread's stuff, the callisto and the montavillan being my 2 favorites by them. Electro harmonix came in pretty close after them.

My favorite though has to go to Zvex box of metal. I tend to really not like Zvex's over the top "gnarly" art designs that look like they were pulled out of a beavis and butthead episode in the 90s, but I really love the minimalist look of the box of metal. For touting itself as a high gain, gnarly pedal, it's literally just a box of metal lol

Clearly, I haven't been around pedals long enough. These are pretty nuts.

It's a shame that the imagery is so polarizing...because when you break it down, it's a great concept:

    • Metal-appearance box
    • Cover to protect knob and their SETTINGS!
    • Familiar Boss-style footswitch

If these weren't styled only for Warhammer players (Google it)...they could be more popular.

The Paul Trombetta custom pedals can be really beautiful; he can do so many unique things to the look on a custom pedal. The stock brushed aluminum ones are quite nice as well. Here's an example that lives on my pedalboard:

I don't know if you have to have a Facebook account to see this gallery, but it's worth perusing to see the range of custom carving and painting PTD can do. https://www.facebook.com/pages/PTD-paul-trombetta-design/176008022445097?sk=photos_stream

I find my trusty Fly Rig to be a thing of beauty on a dimly lit stage. I like the purdy lights.. even if I didn't use the DLA I would keep it on and at 0 just to see the blue.
