I have a DOD FX17 volume/wah I want to put on my Pedaltrain Jr.

The problem I have is that the bottom of the pedal has wavy/ribbed rubber so it's not particularly amenable to attaching velcro. Compounding the issue is the fact that it doesn't have any screws on the bottom to do the bike chain trick.

Given all that, does anyone have any words of wisdom about how I can attach the pedal to the board?

    Thanks!

How would you do that on a trundle pedal like a wah?

The bike chain trick involves running the back plate screws through links and then screwing the other end of the link to the board.

Put some masking tape across the sticker (if you want to save it), and put the velcro on the sticker. If it's not tall enough to rise above the ridges, put the masking tape on to save the sticker, then some double-sided foam tape to give space, and the the velcro.

    Works like a charm.

Yep, i had a vox/crybaby style wah pictured where that would work fine.

funny part is, i owned that exact same wah/vol 15 years or so ago. It took a real good beating before it croaked.

Yeah, I bought the bike links off of ebay from the only guy I saw on there at the time, and there was a pretty big assortment of screws, links, etc..., different sizes and such. Anyway, he included some 90 degree stuff that does fine with side screws.

Just peel off the rubber on the bottom (you can always reattach with double sided tape later) and put on some velcro.

Yep, this is the best option.
