    Howdy,

I love effects pedals, like many folks here do. I was just curious if other TGPers collect them (like someone would collect BB cards, whatever?) FX pedals are such a hobby, that I am setting up a display case for them. I swap them out on the board when I feel like it, but the really special ones....they don't leave the house.

    Just a sanity check. Thanks.

Cause YOU great pain? They cause ME great pain - I can't maintain a relationship, I'm perpetually broke, and I "deal" pedals to help support my habit...

    I don't think I have a problem though.

    Hey Tom...

Owning so many pedals, and knowing what you do about all the different ones you've owned... your definitive take:

    Toms Favourite Overdrive
    Toms Favourite Delay

    I'm curious... :)

are you ed rembold or something?...that pedal on the bottom picture looks like the Toneczar halophaze, but its impossible that you have one unless your ed, or you somehow managed to get one. Im talking about the red one next to the OCD, i might be mistaking it, but Ed sent me pictures of the halophaze prototype and it was sandblasted red...maybe its just me though...

My collection isn't nearly what Tom's is. He owns most of the pedals in Analogman's book that are extremely rare (how cool is it to have a collection that Analogman envies!). I just own one or two of those, but a pretty decent pile of the next level "hard to find" pedals. It's definitely a sickness, but a MUCH cheaper one than guitars, amps or studio gear!

Its not cheaper than that stuff if you have that many...And at the prices that some of them catch...Ie. doppelganger, echoczar, meatball, univox, thats just 4, out a possible 100...LOL, It deffinetly is an addiction, ******** it! Ive been playing not too long, and am 16 and look at my board, its not normal...Im not even gona' say all the stuff thats on my board, and Ive got more stuff in the mail!...as for amps and guitars. I dont realy think people need more than 3 or 4 electrics MAX, since pedals actually generate many different sounds which I love about them. And amps you realy only need one good one, or two if you wanna' run stereo...

I am only at 526 pedals, so not quite a collector, but I hope to be one!

Hey N-D Tom, Awesome stash of vintage pedals! You need more MXR and Ross stuff! :)
Those Flying Pans and the ADA Final Phase is giving me palpitations! :drool

I've got about 130 pedals, my flagship being a mint Tycobrahe Parapedal in it's wooden crate with waranty card and stickers that I found at a garage sale in L.A.

I agree. I also noted N-T diversification. He really has a good balance of OD, Modulation, and Time Based effects.

    Definitely not Ed!

He is the perfect poster boy for GAS, though. He makes the rest of us look normal.
Ok, maybe not wahfreak. Wahfreak's got some serious issues. ;)
