    hey guys,

Can you recommend me some pedals that would be able to do crazy whirring sounds or sample-like sounds for a climax of a dance tune or something? Something that could be used live. Would the best route be to have a RC-20 or something and just load in samples?

    Thanks,

    J

You could look into the E-H Flanger Hoax.
That pedal has tons of freaky effects.
    Good luck on your search........

An analog delay oscillating would do similar to what you're looking for i think

+1 on the Noise Box. Not so much a whirr, but perfect for techno.

Yep. All you need is a delay that you can crank the delay time with as it goes. I have a Guyatone MD3 micro delay and I can get a lot of self oscillating and pitch up/dive effects by just twisting the time knob. I think you can do something similar with most delays out there. I think the Line6 Echo Park can do that as well as some short loops.

    Edit:
I realized there some footage of me using it at the end of this song:

We go off into a jam and then there's some little looping tricks with a slight pitch twist. Maybe check the last 2-3 minutes of the video. Dunno if that's what you're looking for or not.
