    Yes, great tone there but small correction to the signal chain, there's Hornby-Skewes treble booster between guitar and amp.

    The California Jam 1974 rocks too. There's no treble booster anymore but a reel to reel tape machine to provide delay and signal boost.

    that van halen tone is really good. man he rips it. thats gotta be the best tone of the 70's. although ernie isleys lead sound on "midnight sky" and "whos that lady" are pretty nasty too.
