Never heard of these things and this is the axe fx2 the song is called Homage, its amazing I thought maybe I could sit down and try to learn it but its above my ability. I really like the sounds he gets from the Suhr guitar and that digital thing...he really makes that guitar soar..incredible guitar play and what a sound...

this is new to me, does anyone in here have any experience with these fractal things...does it eliminate the need for a tube amp? is it the new thing that will replace amps completely ?

Beautiful tone and playing, as usual from Pete.
That Cactus Green color is one of the coolest in Suhr's palette IMO.

I love my Axe-2 and Suhr Pro Series S3, and I really love Pete Thorn's playing. I figure any problem I have getting fabulous tones and playing out of my rig is operator error. :D

I know right...lol...exactly what I was thinking. Watching it, it looks easy what he is doing but then I sat down and tried some of it, and became....lost. He is an awesome musician and he surely made that Suhr sound sweet. I love that last section he kicks on that overdriven voice...wow..just amazing sound, I've watched this video a bunch of times and keep going back to it over and over. I knew he was a great guitarist but this really shows his versatility and he also seems like a really down to earth guy as well...nice

maybe you're not aware, but Pete is beyond cool and nearly a regular on this forum. Check out his song Promise - as he also has lessons/tutorials available for it.

Well, that's cool that he comes on here an all. My first introduction to him was a New years gig he played with Gov't Mule, They played the song "Say hello to heaven" which I had never heard (temple of the dog) and he played the solo and I gotta say it literally gave me goose bumps, it soared like angels from the heavens. I have never heard such a flawlessly fashioned solo and I was like who the hell was that? then of course I did the research and found out it was him and it stuck with me. I listen to that song over and over too, although the song is superb in itself, the solo is the the meat off the bone...just fabulous.

I believe he toured with Chris Cornell. One thing though, Pete is kind of a nerd.

Sorry, couldn't help myself... The video is from 2011, after all. :D

Pete Thorn is a killer player, though, no doubt!
