Found this over Swart's site... Gave me goose bumps... Best blues I've heard in a long time... And I'm no blues fan...

Peter is a monster player, a great guy, and a serious gear afficianado. His playing is definitely blues-based, but then he takes it in his own unique direction. I've been talking to him about possibly doing a workshop at our store.

Here's another example (with Joe Klompus and Steve Scully). Check him out if you're ever in the New England area.

Just watched this - I'm going through everything I find in Youtube...

But, unfortunately, I'm far, far away from New England - more precisely, here in sunny Rio de Janeiro ;)
We have some blues festivals here in Brazil though- hope he can make his way here someday.

One of more than a few unsung heroes that ply their trade in the New England area. Peter is a great player, for sure.

Man, I'm not a big blues guy, but your music really talked to me... Really, really soulful... Thanks!

And that's one of the things I like most about TGP. Not only we learn a lot about gear, we have the chance to talk with so many talented players...

An artist who is new to me, with a freshly personal take on the blues. Great playing and equally strong vocals. I've enjoyed checking these videos out and plan to "spread the news" of Mr. Parcek to friends. Stay on the path, sir.

Found him on the Swart site a couple years back. I don't have too much blues on the 'ol ipod, especially from within the last 30 years, but he's there. Great stuff.

    cheers

Very nice ... his singing is way good too ...

    absolutely. jazz. "gypsy jazz" especially.

peter is a super, super nice guy and a KILLER player. i'll told bill from tone broker guitars a few times....

i bought a gypsy style guitar from peter years ago. i'd known of him from mutual friends and we share a guitar tech. i was just getting into the style but being the nice guy that he is, peter insisted i stay and jam awhile in the gypsy style.

let's just say that wasn't the smartest sales tactic on peter's part! haha. he proceeded to just KICK MY ASS! i've been playing for a long time but man, it was like being an absolute beginner again.

the awesome thing was, he wasn't trying to be an ass or show me up or anything like that. he's just that damned good!!!

I've been a fan since the days when I used to see him in nashua and manchester. I haven't been out much lately, especially in the last 4 years. I really miss seeing people like Peter playing great music live.

Another bump for Peter, who stopped by the shop this morning with Joe Klompus. Come by and get one of his CDs if you're in our neighborhood.

I'm proud to say I've been friends with Peter for nearly 25 years. He was insanely great way back then, and his musicianship and artistry continue growing into the stratosphere. The first time I saw him perform was as the opening act for Robben Ford (late 1980's) at a now-defunct Cambridge, MA nightclub called Nightstage. I remember the audience was in no hurry for Peter to leave the stage. I left the club feeling equally impressed by both of these great word-class guitarists.

Now living in West Virginia, one of my greatest regrets about leaving the Boston area is not being able to regularly see a Peter Parcek trio live show. Oh... and one more thing about Peter, if you ever get to meet him, you may agree with me - he is one of the nicest human beings on the planet.

Peter's legend extends to the 60's and 70's where I grew up in Connecticut..Funny I was just thinking of Peter in connection with Chip Flynn who was another up and comer in my area in the 60/70's ..The word was that Peter 'liked' Chip's playing..Wonder where Chip is these days..
