Phase 90 users, what songs do you use it for?
Anything by Little Feat. You can't play Little Feat without a Phase 90. Tons of other stuff though. I'm amazed all the time, now that my ear for effects is developed, just how often I hear it on the radio (older stuff).
anything off of Van Halen 1
I have the script phase 90 , I think it is 77-78 model... I use it for anything since it is so dam subtle. I use for bob marley, for funky pop stuff, van halen, blues, blues rock, ..... I think it works with any genre you want to add dimension to, and/or high end shimmer or a smoothening vintage vibe..... EVER hear Rupert NEve portico 5032 pre amp? Sound familiar?
Anything off the Rush Fly By Night album, Thin Lizzy stuff, Zep's "The Rover" and Eagles "Hotel California." Mine is a EVH Phase 90, and I use both Block and Script modes.
I play in church, and use my Shannon (phase 90 clone) for all the Tomlin/Crowder sort of stuff.
Pink Floyd - Breath
Skynard - The Breeze
Limelight by Rush
The Rover by Zeppelin
Any early VH stuff
Sometimes I just kick it on for a thicker wacky lead tone
FWIW, There's a trim pot inside that'll make it less subtle.
I like the subtle character
Zep's Nobody's Fault But Mine
VH1 and 2(Dance The Night Away middle, Atomic Punks, etc)
