Pheonix - Effects on "Rome"

    at 1:22 is this synth with tremolo or a guitar with fuzz and tremolo. How could a guitar get this sound? Help from the experts is appreciated.

    Pretty sure its a synth but you could approximate the effect on guitar with a distortion and choppy trem. My tremulator is actually pretty good for these sounds but I am sure there are more involved trems that could get closer.

    Money being no object I would bet you could nail this tone with a few Moog pedals or even some of the EHX offerings. Some of these effectology video's are good at showing how close you can get to synth-like tones...
