Every time I hear a clip of the Yamaha THX I'm impressed.

Obviously, Sayce is an amazing player that would sound good playing anything, but this clip is just awesome. They don't quite let us see what pedals he is using - I'm know I saw / heard a wah & I'm pretty sure he has a TS808. I don't think he's using anything else. Great tone! Very cool to hear this set-up with no band, no mics, no PA, just Philip & a little amp.

Yeah, he's really great at what he does. Love his sound and where he's coming from, musically. Goes to show what you can do with a decent guitar, a decent amp, a huge supply of soul, feel and confidence when combined with a whole lot of time in the woodshed.

Philip is an amazing talent... I got into his music this past year and was promptly blown away by his playing and singing. Covered Peace Machine with my old band, in fact.

The tones here are nice... Thanks for sharing this! =-)

    It's just a TS and a wah

Nice catch. I thought I could see that TS, but I must've blinked & missed that frame.

It's cool to hear how loud the little THX is compared to his voice. It sounds great & it pushes a little more air than I would have guessed.

I can't find what a THX amp is? Are you guys referring to Yamaha THR10x or THR10C or something else? My friend just saw Philip Sayce in Montreal using a Fender Bandmaster and a Two Rock , and I watched a clip and it sounded REALLY great. I had never even heard of him before this past month but after watching this and hearing my friend talk about him , I'll be seeing him sometime that's for sure! Eric

He's got enough cable there to make it to the parking lot. Either thats all he could find before morning coffee, or more likely runs them that long to role off some high end.

When I saw this thread I was expecting this video.

This guy sounds great no matter what he plays. I'm sure he can get that same tones with a Gorilla amp.
